WEATHER WASHES OUT RACE 2 AT SILVERSTONE TALENT CUP
A good first day at Silverstone for the British Talent Cup Championship. With back to back Free practice and qualifying plus the threat of rain towards the end of the session it was going to be tricky to manage. Scott ended FP2 in a strong 4th. The track was damp initially and they went out on full wets. For the following qualifying, the bikes were fitted with slicks and he was out on track at the front and managed to set a time good enough for 6th place before the heavens opened and effectively ended the session. Many thanks to the BTC team, Richard Dilks, his helper(and parent this weekend) and to Dick Herzberg and Peter Ormiston for their support.
It was a good result for Scott in Race 1, gaining points in the championship and closing 4 th and 5th place but ending 6th. With a wet day forecast, it wa going to be tricky however, the track became flooded and it was deemed unsafe for any racing and the meeting was cancelled. The only race that occurred was the BTC Race 1. One for future pub quizzes I guess. Many thanks to all Scotts sponsors and supporters and particularly this weekend, Premium Motorhomes and Martyn of Agriwash UK and Nigel of Appleyard Pressure Washing Services. Thanks again👍🏻👍🏻 And many thanks to the British Talent Cup team. Great job.
