After standing on the podium at Oulton Park, Scott Ogden was looking forward to his first visit to Knockhill on the Moto3.

The short track posed some problems for the Belton youngster. There are a number of blind corners and the number of overtaking opportunities are restricted. Namely the final hairpin and into turn one having climbed the hill and across the start-finish straight.

The weather was unusually bright and warm for the Scottish circuit. Ogden qualified in sixth position for race one and went on to finish in ninth. He felt he had made the wrong tyre choice so decided to switch for a softer compound for race two on Sunday. It proved a good move as he went on to finish the second race just 0.286 seconds from a second podium of the season.

Scott Ogden is fourth overall in the Hel Performance British Motostar standard class championship.
