The British Talent Cup arrived in the Brno paddock with temperatures well above 30 degrees, and the championship battle getting hotter. Fenton Seabright still had a numerical possibility of winning the Cup, but in reality, it was between Scott and Cam Horsman. Only Brian Hart had raced the circuit previously and it showed as he led the field in the early sessions. Scott moved up from 7th in FP1 to 4th in qualifying. The heavens opened before race 1 and Scott got off to a good start, holding second to Seabright but eventually finished 4th, his first result off the podium this year. Horsman had a bad race by his standards and finished outside of the points. Race 2 took place on the Sunday and Scott and Cameron were held up by Irwin before eventually breaking away to catch the leaders, Seabright and B Hart. They started the last lap, line abreast and Scott took the lead into turn one. They had a great battle and Scott finished 3rd to Horsman and Seabright to extend his lead slightly to 16 points going into the last round at Silverstone. However, before that, BSB Motostar at Cadwell is next on the calendar and, having missed the Thruxton round due to attending Brno, Scott is now third to Bourne and Horsman, trailing by 8 points as Bourne won both races whilst the front runners were at the Czech GP.
