Unfortunately our weekend has come to an early end. Over the weekend throughout practice I showed great pace and being able to run with established riders in this class. Today has been a rollercoaster with many ups and downs. In the first qualifying practice I had an unfortunate crash at turn 10 resulting in a lack of track time however a good effort from my Dad, Gary and Chris I was able to ride the bike to a positive top 10. In the second qualifying I believed the tyre we had ran for the few laps would of been perfect for the session but I was wrong with the tyre ripping up and destroying its self ending in another crash. This meant I had to race the last chance race. Going to the grid I made a common mistake hitting the kill switch leaving me starting from pit lane. It was a positive race coming from pit lane to 3rd and taking chunks out the 2 out front and getting ideal lap times that would put me top 25 on the grid. That’s racing I guess. So unfortunately I won’t be on the grid for tomorrow’s race unless anyone drops out. I believe this is only the start and you learn from your mistakes. It’ll come with a lot of work through the winter and I hope I can fight for top finishes in the class next year. I’d like to thank all my sponsors and it would be great to see you all again in 2019.
