About

After starting riding at the age of five on his PW50 and six years of racing motocross, from Auto 50s through to Big wheel 85 and 150s,  Scott Ogden switched to tarmac circuits. The youngster from Belton rode a GP50 and GP70 Metrakit in the FAB-Racing organised British Championship. He finished third in the GP50 class and took the British title in the GP70 category in his first full season after a great final round at Mallory Park where he won both races.

In 2017, at 13yrs, he rode in the Thundersport Superteens and the Team Green Junior Cup. In both championships, he rode his Kawasaki Ninja 300 machine winning his first two races in each championship. Scott Ogden was in the title hunt in both series until a big crash in June meant his main rival opened up a significant gap whilst Ogden recovered.

With Scott now having done enough to earn his national licence and with the titles all but gone he decided to take the next step and move up to the British Motostar Championship with the Microlise Cresswell Racing Team. He switched to a much smaller and more manoeuvrable standard Honda NSF250R Moto3 machine. Scott scored points in all six of the remaining rounds in the 2017 season and took his first top-five finish. He was successful at the inaugural British Talent Cup selection event in July.

For 2018 Scott joined the 2017 championship winning team, Wilson Racing to take part in his first full season in the Motostar class, the support series of the very popular British Superbike Championship. Scott rode well in both championships, finishing 4th in the Motostars and impressing the Talent Cup team, gaining him a ride in the 2019 series.

In addition for 2019, 15 yr old Scott will also ride for the Wilson Racing team once again, taking in British and Spanish tracks as he aims to continue his progression towards a ride at the top level of the sport.
